Emily Joyce, the founder of E1, brings over five years of experience leading inventory companies. Renowned for her meticulous attention to detail, she ensures that every report meets the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Emily began her career as the Assistant Merchandise Editor at Vogue magazine - a role that honed her skills in collecting and editing information. With over three decades of experience as an actress (yes, you may recognise her from TV, though she probably won’t know which show – Google is your friend!), she made the leap into the property inventory world in 2020 during a break in her acting career.
Initially managing AJPS, she quickly gained recognition for her innovative approach and dedication to quality. After overseeing its operations and eventual buy-out in 2023, Emily founded E1 in 2024 at the request of loyal clients who valued her expertise.
A lifelong Londoner, Emily currently resides in the city with her two grown sons - when they’re not busy with their own lives!
At E1, we pride ourselves on delivering inventory reports that balance simplicity, coherence, and thoroughness. Unlike many reports that are filled with jargon and excessive detail, E1's are tailored for ease of reading and quick absorption of information. In today’s fast-paced world, we understand that most people skim through documents, so we design reports to be visually appealing and structured logically to facilitate understanding for letting agents, landlords and tenants.
Our reports stand out for including a higher volume of high-quality photographs, enabling clear visual documentation of the property’s condition. Each fixture, fitting, and furnishing is individually itemised, ensuring complete transparency for agents, landlords, and tenants.
We also place great importance on the people who create these reports - our inventory clerks. They are the heart of E1 Inventories, and we are committed to equipping them with the tools and knowledge they need to excel. All clerks receive comprehensive one-on-one training, which covers both technical skills and an understanding of the broader significance of their work. They are handpicked not only for their technical abilities but also for their attention to detail and commitment to excellence. At E1, clerks become part of a close-knit team where collaboration and mutual respect are key values.
Emily nicknames all Property Inventory Clerks "Information Squirrels" because their role revolves around gathering and storing vital information, much like squirrels collecting and hoarding nuts!
